Heelan freshman Andres Villalobos Curry has been selected to attend the Congress of Future Medical Leaders, an honor’s only program for high school students, on June 25-27 in Boston, Mass. He represents Bishop Heelan High School based on his academic achievement, leadership potential and interest in the field of medicine.

The Congress is open to U.S. students who have a 3.5 GPA or higher. The Congress works to motivate and direct top students who aspire to be physicians or medical scientists, and provide a path and resources to help them reach their goal.

At the meeting Andres will hear from Nobel Laureates and top medical school deans, learn about cutting edge advances in medicine and witness a surgery. He will remain a member of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists where he will continue to be mentored in achieving his goals.
