Baccalaureate for graduating students of Bishop Heelan High School will be held Tuesday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at St. Michael Church in Sioux City.

A senior class of 129 will graduate from Bishop Heelan Catholic High School in a commencement ceremony Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m. at the Orpheum Theatre.

Valedictorian Zachary Morris and Salutatorian Bryce Reynolds will formally address the Class of 2018. Student Council President John Paul Keane will lead his class in the Prayer of St. Francis.

Vocal music seniors will perform the National Anthem and   Keane will sing the Ava Maria, accompanied on piano by Erick Danner. The Heelan High School Band will perform "Pomp and Circumstance" for the processional and "Declaration Overture" for the recessional, led by Bishop Heelan Instrumental Director James Kunz. 

The Reverend Shane Deman will give the opening invocation.  Timm Funk, interim CEO of Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools, will deliver remarks, followed by the call to graduation by Heelan Principal Christian Bork. Bishop R Walker Nickless of the Diocese of Sioux City will bestow diplomas along with Jake Delfs, academic dean and Funk.
