High School Reveals Talents, Nurtures
Bishop Heelan High School students are scholars, athletes, volunteers, singers, musicians, cheerleaders, debaters, friends to each other and more. They are teens discovering how to meet goals, how to solve problems, how to consider careers and reach their fullest potential.

At Bishop Heelan students are exposed to a rigorous curriculum that prepares them for college studies. In the Class of 2018, over 80% of our graduates were awarded scholarships. Some, 94% of our graduates went on to college, about 84% to four-year colleges and universities. Our average ACT composite score over the last three years is 23.4, the highest in the area.

While athletic successes are highlighted with sports pages and broadcasts, our students achieve in many areas. We are Quiz Bowl State Champs in 2018 in our division! Our students rock service and fundraising to help local charities, the poor in Honduras and Costa Rica, Make a Wish Iowa and more.
