12 Classroom Grants Support Learning

It’s Merry Christmas for Holy Cross, Mater Dei and Sacred Heart School teachers in the form of 12 Excellence in Education classroom grants totaling $9,227 to benefit student learning. The grants are awarded by the Siouxland Community Foundation to support K-5 teachers in local public and private schools.

The Siouxland Community Foundation recently helped nearly 100 area non-profits raise over $100,000 though Siouxland Big Give, a one day of giving blitz.
The foundation administers over 150 charitable funds, established by donors, and awards nearly 350 grants and scholarships yearly to Siouxland nonprofit organizations and college-bound seniors, (including Heelan seniors.) Its impact is felt in education, arts and culture, health care, the environment, community betterment and more.
