Celebrating Homecoming 2019

Bishop Heelan High School will celebrate Homecoming Week Sept. 3-Oct. 5 with the theme of “Fall” and these activities:

Monday: Muscle Man, 7 p.m. Heelan Gym
Tuesday: Pumpkin Carving and Painting 7 p.m. in Heelan parking lot and Duffy Hall Commons
Wednesday:  Saluting Heelan’s 70 Years of education students will dress in different decades;
Powder Puff football game of senior girls vs. junior girls, 7 p.m. at Memorial Field
Thursday:  9 to 11 a.m. Community Service Day for all schools in the Bishop Heelan School System; 
Friday: Homecoming Assembly at 10:30 a.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium, parade at 12:30 p.m. the route starts at 12th and Grandview, runs south to 8th Street and turns west to connect to Wesley Parkway and the Heelan campus.  Heelan’s football game against at Denison at 7 p.m. at Memorial Field
Saturday:  Dance at 8 p.m. at the Sioux City Convention Center.

Heelan Homecoming Queen candidates are: Amber Aesoph, daughter of Jess and Dawn Aesoph, Holy Cross Parish; Sarah Beumler, daughter of John and Allison Beumler, Sacred Heart Parish; Jenna Rethman, daughter of Tom and Michelle Rethman, Sacred Heart Parish; Adeline Bogenrief, daughter of Chris and Joy Bogenrief, Sacred Heart Parish and Ji-Yun Park, daughter of Hyun-Kee Park and Hee-Jung Kim of Seoul, South Korea. 

King candidates are: Cade Block, son of Craig and Terri Block, Sacred Heart Parish; Brant Hogue, son of Butch and Rita Hogue, Peace Reformed Church; Ryan Dougherty, son of Marty and Laurie Dougherty, Holy Cross Parish; Isaac Roerig, son of Todd and Susan Roerig, Mater Dei Parish and Max Venne, son of Steve Venne and Beth Venne. Holy Cross Parish.
